I just went to Chase’s website and they have the Chase freedom card with a $100 intro promo after you spend $500 in 3 mo. Where did you guys get this $200 offer from and how do we know it works if its not listed on Chase’s site. I’m not referring to the D1R promo code but the initial $200 offer itself.
The application link is directly to Chase domain, hence you know it will work.
@ Hustler – Then why is it that Chase online OR branch has not heard of this offer?? Are these specific offers mailed to certain clientele that you folks find and start blogging about them? Should I contact YOU for the $200 bonus if denied after applying?
Again, it’s an online offer only. You can google it and you will see like hundreds of links about the Chase freedom $200 offer.
And no you do not contact me. You either apply or you don’t, and any issues you deal with Chase.
I got the $200 offer in the mail.
Chase has released a bunch of promo’s lately. Usually this comes with just a $50 bonus after $300 in purchases, however, I think they’re aggressively trying to shore up new accounts since their stock plummeted last month. They also have a $125 bonus for a checking account.
I applied online for this card but did not receive any confirmation for this. Did you receive my application? I am worried now that someone has my personal information. I have never done this before and now I am worried.
You are applying to Chase, not me. Chase has your info. We, in no way, has anybody info.
Are existing Chase checking account customers eligible for the $200? Also, I had a Chase Visa a while back, closed the account a couple of years ago. The fine print says:
“Previous and existing cardmembers/accounts are not eligible for this bonus offer.” So I guess this means I’m SOL.
I would apply the Chase Freedom MasterCard then.

Hi, just wanted to know if you have any promo codes for Chase for opening a new checking acct? Ill be a new customer.
Thanks
Mimi,
When I have applied for Chase credit cards online recently, immediately afterwards I was offered a promotion to open up a checking account with $150 bonus after 1 direct deposit.
A Chase banker gave me the impression is that an ACH deposit counts as direct deposit, but I will need to verify this.
Thanks for your great deals! (just got 200 from the TD ameritrade bonus)
do i need a direct deposit every month? or once is good enough?
do gift cards count as part of the $500 needed to quailify?
Yup, if you buy gift cards, it’s still a purchase.
Do you happen to know when the $200 offer expired? I applied for Chase Freedom to get the $200 bonus and was notified by email on April 17th that I was approved (don’t remember exactly when I applied but it was less than a week before I got the approval email)
I received my card last weekend and of course there was no mention of the $200 bonus – Unfortunately I didn’t take a screenshot of the $200 offer at the time, and today when I tried Google searching it, I found your post that it is no longer available. Should I be worried that I won’t be getting the $200 bonus? The card has a super high APR, which I accepted because of the bonus and also don’t plan to carry a balance.
Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
You should be fine. Call the number in the back of your card and ask for a confirmation of the $200 bonus offer.
I called and they were able to confirm the $200 bonus offer – I didn’t even think of doing that, thanks!!
