PNC sux. Worst customer service i’ve ever encountered in any product.
J Boogie says
yep. Just learned about this hidden restriction after getting transferred from one incompetent “consultant” to the next. And good like trying to get a Wire Transfer completed. I’ve been on hold for 30+minutes

PNC is a horrible bank with horrible customer service. I will never bank here again.

It seems to me the $50k is for initial funding only.

Ive entered my CO zip with no issues.
DENVER, 80205 works.
I’m inquiring about the $5M max.
It states deposits are limited to “up to $50k”, does that mean you can only deposit $50k at a time? Or $50k total? Im confused as to the process of depositing more than $50k?
DV says
Yeah, it finally worked for me when I entered 90210 (Beverly Hills, CA, as everyone of a certain age knows). None of the other ZIPs I entered, all of them in the states listed above (and in PNC territory) worked. PNC is nowhere near California, and yet 90210 works?
FWIW, northern CA doesn’t seem to work, either (my wife’s from there, so that could’ve worked). I think this is targeted to people well OUTSIDE PNC’s network. I’m an existing customer in Maryland, and would LOVE these rates from a bank where I already have a relationship, but I guess I’ll just continue looking elsewhere.
Manny says
I added a zip code from Southern California. Says I’m eligible for the rate.
DV says
Nope, this isn’t available anywhere. It asks your zip code, and I’ve entered several different ones from the states listed above. No dice.
