Thank, Anthony, for your work putting together this list.
I’ve just set up a business checking and savings with Capital One. So far I’ve been on hold for 37 minutes to “verify” my account, which has plenty of money in it. I’ve even called using an additional phone line to see if there was something wrong. No, I’m told just keep holding or call back.
I can’t transfer funds to the companion savings to earn the promised interest. I can’t set up bill pay. I CAN however, add more money to the account. As if…
For years I’ve been satisfied with the Cap One credit card. No complaints.
But this experience is infuriating and feels criminal that they have my money locked up in checking.
I will now look into your suggested Home Street Bank.
BTW, Capital One no longer has an app for checking and savings. You’ll have to go to the website. “We’re working on updating the app” ETA? “Unknown”.
Given that you’re recommending them, I thought you might like to have one persons perspective.
