I used a BoA Alaska card to fund my account with $1500
My Chase Freedom worked fine. Everything was labeled as a purchase. My friend said he had no trouble using his US Bank Club Carlson card.
Even though the verbiage on the linked page clearly indicated that this is for Monarchs “fans”, the bank is limiting this promotion to students and alumni of Old Dominion. I’m not sure how they can get away with that since the legal language on their own page does not indicate this. They are also only accepting applications in person at the branch near Old Dominion. They are not accepting their own promo code “MONARCHS” via online applications.
The Promo Code is MyMonarch. I just opened an account. Try that.

I think this bank now does a hard pull. One of the disclosures states they contact Equifax.
DQ’d because of “too many Chex inquiries”. Whatever. Screw your sh*tty credit union.
Please remove this bank. They are no longer honoring this bonus. Even after I said there isn’t an expiration date. They still won’t offer it. So I am out of 10 dollars and an account that is useless to me.
