I want to apply for a new card and is considering Citi. I want to know more about it. Anyways your blog is really helpful. :)

  2. Sudarto says

I am pleased with the credit card. I always keep my loan so as not to burden my finances. If I have a loan, I pay it off as soon as possible so that interest becomes very low. On the other hand, my credit limit increase because my credit score never goes down.

Hi @hustler Do you have any articles on secured credit cards? I’m trying to rebuild my credit and would love your expertise on what secured credit is best.

    Thank you :)

I tried the blue cash preferred card offer from amex. I never got the bonus cash for sign up and they didn’t waive the fee for the first year. When I called customer service I was told I would get it after the first three months. 5 months later still no bonus cash and I got charged 75 dollars for the first year. When I called amex they asked if I had the promotion code and said there was no such offer. Thanks a lot!

    • peace says

hey there, i know the feeling. don’t give up the process because thre are other deals out there. when you see a deal, print it out from the screen, and write down on the paper how you applied and who you spoke with. this paper is your code proof and you send a copy of your proof. amex has always been tough, and now only one promo per person per platform of card.
you have to get on the bank to get your points. if one customer service rep is not being customer service then hang up and redial. make a list of banks that you need to call and press for the points. also hurry up because the banks keep raising the spend amount per promotion.

Do any cards, besides Discover, allow you to get cash when making a purchase? Discover’s Cash Over allows you to get cash with NO TRANSACTION FEE when using Discover at about 60 merchants. There is no interest if the cash is paid back by the monthly bill date.
